Supporting Refugee Families: The Brazilian Worker Center's Commitment

We understand that many countries face severe threats to human dignity, forcing people to flee their homelands to protect their families. No one wants to leave their home, but many are compelled to do so to ensure their safety.

The Brazilian Worker Center was the first organization designated by the state to welcome refugees and guide them to shelters. Over the past year, we have assisted 16.213 individuals, including 5,015 families from 15 countries. It is important to note that we are not a shelter; our role is to check in these individuals and create a nurturing and respectful environment where each individual feels valued and supported. We offer legal guidance, housing assistance, food support, and much more, always aiming to facilitate adaptation and promote the independence of the families we serve.

We have been operating seven days a week, including holidays. However, we are a small organization, and unfortunately, we do not have the financial and staff capacity to operate 24 hours a day.

If you are interested in supporting our efforts, there are three ways you can help:

Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of those who have been forced to leave everything behind. Together, we can provide a sense of hope and stability to those in need.
